Detroit Zoo

Matt had a Friday off and I took it off, so we could spend some family time together! We decided to go to the Detroit Zoo and had a great time! The best part for me was the Arctic Cirlce of Life, as we got to see a Polar Bear up close. Emily stayed awake through the whole zoo, but crashed hard on the way home!

Silly Girl

Lovin' her tunnel...
I washed the side of our house by hand one day, in preparation of her birthday party and Emily had a blast. She was soaking wet by the end and needed a complete change of clothes, as she walked through the water puddles and sat in them and played in the water as it fell. It was fun and it allowed me to get what I needed done, done. All that work and 2 days later it looked just like it did prior to me doing it, stupids bugs!!!!!

B-day Party

Today was Emily's Birthday Party! Holy Mackeral was it a whirlwind! We had a beautiful day and had great friends and family that were able to come down and celebrate with us! We had a jungle themed birthday party for her and had a great cake made that had jungle animals on them! The highlight of the day though was the bouncy house that I borrowed from a neighbor, but of course when we got it, someone had not stored it properly, so it was quite gross! Matt and Trevor ended up power washing the bouncy house before we let the kids in and it worked out! The kids loved it and Emily got a lot of really great presents, too many toys now, and had fun running around like a wild child that she is! Thanks also to the people that were not able to be with us, but were with us in Spirit, which includes Nicole and Simon, Aunt Su and Uncle Brent, Uncle David and Aunt Michelle, Aunt Becca, and Grammy and Papa! Everyone sent gifts and we know you were with us in spirit today!

Kids N Stuff

We went to Kids N Stuff Museum, Albion, MI this summer with daycare. This was actually a very nice museum and had quite a bit that Emily could do, which was nice. The grocery store was her favorite part! It was so nice, they had working cash registers and scanners and a lot of "products" on the shelf along with shopping carts just her size. She loved it....
