The Goings on...
Em has had a busy year, including a move to a brand new city. Em and I now live in Alexandria, VA and loving it. Em is now enrolled in a pre-school/daycare center at the USDA building in DC and loves to go on the bus and the train with me to work and school. She is doing so well at this point. She loves to paint, color and draw and do puzzles! She is so creative that it amazes me and is now learning her ABC's and colors and counting. She is still extremely shy in new settings, but loves to talk your ear off once she knows you. It is nice to have friends in the area and Em loves to go visiting them.
Em as a 3 year old is a handful, but so much fun. She is very technology saavy now, as she loves to skype with our family and friends, and will occasionally talk on the phone, but loves to play with her cell phones and her computer. As I said, she is very creative and loves art and music. I am hoping to get her back into Gymnastics and into a music program again. She also loves the theatre and I am planning on taking her to some theatre shows in February and in April and possibly a Chinese Cultural event later this month. Being in the DC area offers lots of opportunities for Em and I to experience a lot of great events.
Keep looking as I will continue to post new pictures of our happenings and there are quite a few things coming up soon that are going to be a lot of fun!

Gymnastics
Em is really loving her gymnastics and is getting to enjoy it more and more. She doesn't like the dance portion that much, which is ok. I think it is great that she is starting to become involved and after our move, I will look into getting her back into gymnastics.

It was wear your costume night and I forgot, but I did have her ears in the car. But she didn't want to wear them really.
Zoo Boo
We took Em to Zoo Boo at Binder Park Zoo, in Battle Creek. It was a nice night because it was warm. Em on the other hand was not very interested in it to begin with, but slowly started to warm up to it. The Zoo Boo was actually pretty disappointing from an adult standpoint. The trick or treat trail, that I thought was throughout the zoo, was only a very small section and Em didn't like it that much. I have never been to Binder Park Zoo and I thought it would be nice to be able to see the zoo, well the zoo was mostly closed and what was open most of the animals were not around. So, it was pretty much a bust. We did the hayride, and I thought at least it would be lit and have things to look at. No, there was a small section that had lighted animals, but otherwise it was just dark and through the woods. Em even asked why we were riding in the dark. The best part was the Carousel ride. The rain held off until we had gotten back to the car and were in it driving home.
